WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER ONE OPENS

WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER ONE OPENS

Let me set the stage for you, it is early November 2020 and in a few days I am going to shoot a short film with some friends from work, the script has been finalised, the director has all his shots planned, a venue has been identified, and we had a chef who was looking forward to cooking for the cast and crew!

Then the news breaks, the Prime Minister has called for another lockdown, and as a result filming has been postponed indefinitely, as a whole the cast and crew were disappointed, because we all believed in the project and were looking forward to bring it to life. It is fair to say I was particularly disappointed, I took it pretty hard.

I was at home watching videos on YouTube, and suddenly inspiration struck me, and I had the basis for three short films, I wrought the first film, started the second, and had an idea for the third, I haven't started the script for this yet.

These short scripts were born out of my frustration of not being able to practice my craft and hopefully, sometime in the next few months I will be able to shoot, and release these short films and share them with the world. I suppose the moral of the story is this: When one door closes another one opens.

Let me know your thoughts down in the comments?

Have you tried something new during lockdown?
