BLIND (SHORT FILM) OVERVIEW

 BLIND (SHORT FILM) OVERVIEW

Welcome back! In todays blog post I am going to be talking about BLIND, the short film I directed in my third year of university. (a YouTube link to BLIND is below) I have been sitting on BLIND for a few years, but I just feel it is the right time to share this movie with the world.

BLIND was the first movie I directed, admittedly the film is not as sleek as I would like it to be, however I believe there is a compelling story, and the two leads of my film,  Aaron and Jess grip you from the first frame to the last.

BLIND is a modern retelling of Bonnie and Clyde set in Twickenham, South West London. The Original script was written by a wonderful writer: Sharmarni, and shot beautifully by Ernest, my producing partner (Paul) and I took the script and changed aspects of it.

We shot BLIND over two days, and two weeks after principal photography we did an additional half day of filming.  As I re-watch BLIND, in hindsight there are a number of changes I would make in order to enhance the overall experience of the film, I plan to use this experience and apply it to future projects, I recently wrote a blog post on three short films I started writing, and before the end of 2021,  I plan to shot at least one of these movies, so watch this space.

To conclude BLIND is a movie I am proud of, and it helped me grow and develop in so many ways, for instance if I had not made BLIND, I don't think I would have been able to put on my one man show, because BLIND was the first time I had to deal with logistic issue such as, finding funding, location scouting, casting actors, making a schedule, talking to the police, writing to local residents, doing research on heist movies etc.

Let me know your thoughts on this blog in the comments.
